In a major push for decentralized employment generation, a massive private sector job fair held at Sri Shanmugha Educational Institutions at Sankagiri on Saturday, saw 1,750 candidates receive official appointment orders.

Presided over by Namakkal District Collector L. Madhubalan and attended by Namakkal MLA C.S. Dileep, the high-profile recruitment drive drew 4,298 registered job seekers from Salem, Namakkal, and Erode districts.
Medical and Family Welfare Minister Dr. K.G. Arunraj and Commercial Taxes and Registration Minister T. Lokesh Tamilselvan jointly distributed the job letters.

Addressing the large gathering, Minister Lokesh Tamilselvan noted that job fairs of this scale were historically restricted to metropolitan centers like Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. He praised the emergence of Salem and Namakkal as prominent educational hubs that now attract corporate recruiters directly to regional towns.

The Minister further emphasized that while technological shifts driven by artificial intelligence continue to transform traditional roles, they simultaneously generate new opportunities, making continuous upskilling and English communication proficiency essential for modern career advancement.

Minister Dr. K.G. Arunraj highlighted that exceptional raw talent is not confined to major cities but thrives extensively among youth in rural pockets and Tier-2 and Tier- 3 towns across Tamil Nadu. He encouraged young aspirants to maintain absolute confidence and focus on self-improvement rather than external comparisons as they transition into professional environments alongside peers from diverse backgrounds.

The successful event concluded with key administrative and institutional leaders joining the dignitaries to celebrate a milestone achievement for regional employment growth.
