The District Employment and Career Guidance Centre will commence free coaching classes for candidates preparing for the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) Group IV examination from October 22, Collector Durgamoorthy has said.
The centre conducts free coaching through its voluntary study circle for job seekers preparing for competitive examinations for government posts.
The TNPSC issued a notification on October 6 for the recruitment of 6,574 candidates through the Group IV examination.
In view of the recruitment drive, free in-person coaching classes will be conducted at the District Employment and Career Guidance Centre.
The centre’s coaching programmes have helped several candidates secure government jobs. Five candidates obtained government appointments in 2023, four in 2024 and seven in 2025 after attending the free classes.
The sessions will be handled by experienced trainers. Free model examinations will also be conducted, and books required for the examination are available at the centre’s library.
Candidates preparing for the examination have been advised to make use of the opportunity, the Collector said.
