Erode:
Train services on the Erode–Tiruppur section will be affected due to track maintenance work being carried out between Pugalur and Murthipalayam railway stations, the Salem Railway Division said.Accordingly, Train No. 16844 Palakkad Town–Tiruchi Express, departing Palakkad Town at 6.30 a.m., will be terminated at Pugalur on October 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15 and 17. After completion of the works, the train will be operated from Pugalur to Tiruchi as an unreserved special with its scheduled stops.
Train No. 16843 Sengottai–Erode Express, departing Sengottai at 3.20 a.m., will also be terminated at Karur on October 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15 and 17. It will subsequently be operated from Karur to Erode as an unreserved special with the usual stops.
Meanwhile, Train No. 16322 Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express will be diverted between Coimbatore and Dindigul via Podanur, Pollachi and Palani on October 3, 10, 13 and 17.
The train will skip Coimbatore North, Pilamedu, Singanallur, Irugur, Sulur Road, Somandur, Tiruppur, Uttukuli, Samanur, Saroja Road, Pasur, Kodumudi, Pugalur, Karur, Palayam and Eriyodu stations. Instead, it will stop at Podanur, Kinathukadavu, Pollachi, Udumalpet, Palani and Oddanchatram.
