Homegrown Welspun Corp on Friday said the company has secured an order worth around Rs 5,500 crore to supply coated line pipes for a natural gas pipeline project in the USA.
With this order, Welspun's global order book hit approx USD 5.25 billion (Rs 50,000 crore), an all-time high, an exchange filing said.
"Welspun Tubular LLC, Welspun Corp US subsidiary, has secured a landmark order of about Rs 5,500 crore from a major midstream company to supply coated line pipes for a Permian Natural gas pipeline project," the company said.
The pipeline will serve an anchor customer, a data centre complex of one of the A-Grade hyperscalers, the very top tier of global digital infrastructure.
This order will be executed from the Welspun USA facility during FY29. - PTI
